Call Guv'nor Locksmiths and Our team will assist you.
Firstly we will ask you the make, model and year of the car. This is to check what key blank is required and what factory immobiliser system the car uses.
At times we will also request the car VIN number. More information regarding the VIN below.
If you also prefer a remote key option as well, then we will research what remote options we have. We prefer to recommend aftermarket remote flip keys because of the quality
and competitive price.
When we come to site the first step is to open the car if the vehicle is locked.
Next we cut a physical key blade which is cut to code just like a key from the factory. Our computerized key cutting machine is made in Italy and is cutting edge in technology.
Once we have a working key, we then programme the immobiliser transponder chip to the vehicle. Most cars from 1996 all have transponder chips.
This is very important because the transponder chip is actually what allows the car to start. Without the on board programming of the cars transponder chip you could turn the key but nothing would happen. Programming the transponder chip to the cars immobliser is the most crucial step.
If you prefer a car remote as well we would then recommend an after market flip key. These are stylish, strong and very cost effective compared to genuine remotes.
We will then programme the remote and check for correct function.
The last important step is to go over the job with you the customer and check all keys and remote for correct function.
